Sculptures sometimes are planned. Sometimes the
result of lucky accidents. Because of its size, this work was
done in two pieces and I joined the head and body together
after both had been done. My husband was helping me and the head
kept slumping forward; suddenly I knew it was supposed to be leaning
forward and the piece took on the life that had been missing.
Currently it sits above an artificial little desert pool in Tucson,
overlooking quail and bunnies.
